Magical Realism in Gabriel Garcia Marqezs A Very Old Man...

Characteristics of Magical Realism in Gabriel Garcia Marqezs A Very Old Man with Enormous Wings The controversy surrounding Magical Realism makes the classification of what is and what is not Magical Realism very difficult. Gabriel Garcia Marquez, a famous Latin American author, has written many pieces of what is generally conceived to be Magical Realism. Marqezs A Very Old Man with Enormous Wings fulfills every characteristic of Magical Realism.. A Very Old Man with Enormous Wings includes many aspects, which may be described as magical. In the story, an old man with a very poor set of wings is found and kept as a pet for several years. These wings were described by the doctor in the story as ...so natural on that†¦show more content†¦The language used by Magical Realists such as Marqez contains a romantic quality. The world was sad since Tuesday (525) describes the mood of the people as not only sad, but extraordinarily sad and for a space of time as well. The magical elements are treated as though they are somewhat acceptable. The characters react to the old man with wings as one reacts to an out of ordinary person. Once the novelty has passed, the person becomes ordinary. Though elements of magic exist in the story, a realistic environment surrounds the actions. The family that houses the angel makes the realistic decision of selling admission to see the angel in order to better their financial standing. They also tire of the angel eventually, treating him as though he were a dog. Only when he becomes ill does the family begin to worry about him. The mobs that abandon the old man are very fickle. Just as fans are in reality, they desert one fad for another. The lady spider is a new fad, and the old man suddenly seems ordinary in comparison to her. The use of details causes the reader to render close observation toward the subjects of the story. The angel is a flesh and blood angel, and his description is very grotesque. There is no grandeur in describing the angel or the spider. The ordinary aspects of the story give it a realistic allure. The use of a chicken coop to house the angel is very humbling. The characters do not have mansions or summer homes. They

Labor Relations Between Business X And A Union - 4490 Words

Abstract In many companies’ labor relations has become a complex case to settle. Labor laws are put in place by the government and are meant to protect employees of any institution. Employers may use legal loopholes in trying to increase their profits, which may mean that the employees are exploited. This paper seeks to discuss how Whatever Works, Inc which has acquired other businesses will develop Labor relations strategy since business X has ties to a union. This always ends up in conflict with union members and non-members in an organization. When developing legal relations guidelines, an organization recognizes the rights of both union and non-union workers (Holley, Jennings, Wolters, 2011). Labor Relations Strategy In developing a labor relations strategy, the first step is to carry out an analysis of the current status in terms of the organizational practices in labor relations and assessing whether that is compliant with the expectations as set out in the law. According to the Federal Labor Relations Agency (FLRA) it is important for all organizations to carry out an in-depth analysis of the current position before determining the need for the organization to have in place a labor relations strategy (Dean, 2009). The analysis will help an organization determine its levels of compliance with the law and how well it relates with the labor union representing their employees and thereby be in a position to develop appropriate goals for the strategy the organization chooses. In line with this, there are five key legal principles that the government has set that apply to both unionizable and non-unionizable employees of an organization. These are: 1. Australia failing to protect Great Barrier - myassignmenthelp.com

Question: Discuss about the Australia failing to protect Great Barrier. Answer: Introduction: The term international relations can be determined as a division of political science that can be adopted for developing connections between two economies and also with international policies. The concept is further observed demonstrating the study of foreign affairs and international conflicts among the regions that include the roles and obligations of the economies intergovernmental, NGO, and multinational corporations. Global bonds can be both moot and public policy field and can be both optimistic and normative as it analyze and frame the foreign policies of the particular economy. Further, the concept is also concerned about the in explaining the connections of the states in the global regional system, and this approach also attempts to describe the interactions of others whose behavior originates within one economy and is targeted towards member of other countries. In simpler terms the study of international relations is totally focused and is based on explaining the behavior a cross the borders of different economies. The below presented essay has been analyzed for describing Australias climate change efforts. The essay has been focused on the climate change and global relations. As per the given scenario Australia has been proven unsuccessful to oblige an adequate role in the global response to climate change. Climate change and international relations: On the basis of the report presented by International institution of Governance program (2013), it has been observed that the climate change is one of the most empirical issues in the list of threats faced by the world. According to the research executed by American Metrological society it has been stated that there is a high range of probability of rising in global temperature from 3.5 to 7.4 degrees Celsius (6.3 to 13.3 degrees Fahrenheit) in less than one hundred years. These minor shifting in the environmental conditions can become reasons for widespread disasters such as rise in sea levels, violent and volatile weather patterns, famines, droughts, desertification etc. In November 2011, a warning was given by the International Energy Agency that the world may be fast moving towards a sloping point of change in climate and also it was suggested that the coming future will be prove vital for reduction in the efforts for greenhouse. According to The United Nations Framework Convention on climate change (UNFCCC) it has been defined as a change of climate that is accredited unswervingly or indirectly to human practices and due to making modifications in the international atmosphere. Activities that lead to contamination are arising from the engineering practices and other sources that are held responsible for the emission of greenhouse gases. These gases include carbon dioxide and other harmful gases and also have the ability of absorbing the spectrum of the infrared light and contribute in the warming of the environment. These gases once produced remains imprisoned in the atmosphere for decades. There are number of reasons for the changes in the climate that are adversely affecting the climate or the surrounding. The prime reason behind the climate change is the emission of the dangerous gases and pollutants such as carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide and fluorinated gases. It has been observed that the greenh ouse is the cycle due to which the mentioned pollutants and gasses gets imprisoned in the atmosphere and heat the planet. It has been observed that in the year 1827 Joseph Fourier a French mathematician and physicist projected that the worming process of earth is acted in the same way as a greenhouse traps heat. A procedure of noticeable lights and imperceptible radiations, in which the earths atmosphere is acting as a glass barrier, and the observable radioactivity from the sun that badges through the Earths environment will be engrossed by the land, water and vegetation but there are some pollutants and infrared radiations gets imprisoned in the atmosphere and remains in the environment. And it has also been noted that the oxygen and nitrogen and also the other natural key elements are unable to absorb infrared radiation. The mentioned gases feed-off the heat energy and a second source of radiation is emitted for warming the surface of the earth. This heat energy remains imprisone d in the environment and deteriorates the depending on the level of gases that are able of absorbing it. An increase in the level of greenhouse gases will make a growth in the absorbing power and that will make more absorption of more infrared radiation On the basis of the research it has been inferred that Australia has made commitments for taking strong domestic and international actions for the changes in the climate. It has been observed that the Australian governing authorities has been making implementation of national policies for reducing emission of pollutants and cope up with the effects of the climate change in relation to the co-ordinated international practices. Under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) at the 21st Conference of the Parties (COP21) in Paris (30 November to 12 December 2015) am historical global climate agreement was made (dfat.gov 2018). A durable and dynamic framework has been set by the Paris agreement for all the nations for taking climate action from 2020, development of existing global efforts in the duration of 2020. The prime outcomes of this agreement include: A global goal has been developed for holding the average temperature hike to well below 2C and efforts are pursued for keeping the warming level below 1.5C above per-industrial level. Mitigation targets are set by each and every nation from 2020 and targets are also required to be reviewed from a time interval of 5 years. Vigorous transparency and accountability norms for providing confidence in the nations practices conducted and also tracking the progress towards the desired targets. Promotion of the practices to be adopted and also building elasticity to climate change. Further, in the Paris conference, nations were send invitations for submitting indicative posts-2020 targets and that were termed as intended nationally determined contributions (INDCS). It has been observed that targets have been set by all the member nations to the UNFCCC. That comprise of all the G20 member nations. These set goals included 96% of international emission, over 39 percent of international GDP and this also included 99.8 % of the Australias two way trade. Mainly, these goals comprise significantly more that the Cancun agreements (2010) and under this agreement more than 100 countries took participation and made pledges for minimizing and setting limits to the greenhouse gases emission by the duration 2020 (dfat.gov 2018). Making reduction in the emission by 26-29 percent below 2005 levels by 2020 has been considered as one of the ambitious targets of Australia. This builds on the target of 2020 target minimizing or eliminating emissions approximately by 5% below levels of 2020. The attainments of the goals of Australia will be done by credible policy suite that has been made already engaged in the process of eliminating the emission, encouraging the technological development, etc. Australias response for climate change: In Australia, scientific evidence related to global warming is clearly available, and for preventing the general and dangerous impacts of climate change strong and strict actions are required by policy makers and industries. Response of departments related to the mitigation clearly state the need to reduce the rate of warming in the global climate system. On the other hand, adaptation response are necessary for the purpose of reducing the impact of current and future climate related issues and for managing the risk related to changes occurred in future climate (Durrant, n.d.). In 2016, Paris Agreement was enforced and the main purpose of this agreement is to strengthen the global response in context of risk related to climate change. For meeting its initial target in regards of Paris agreement, Australia committed to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions by 26 to 28% in comparison of 2005 by 2030. Experts believe that mitigation and adaptation efforts conducted by Australia will be strongly enhanced by the adoption and development of science and technology innovations and these innovations must be supported by government policies. With strong leadership from government and active participation from industries, Australia is meeting the challenges and become the leader in grabbing the opportunities in context of climate change (ATSE, n.d.). However, there is one more side of coin which reflects that Australia is failed to address the issues related to climate change. Experts from military and climate department warned the government that there is possibility that Australia faces various disaster consequences because of the changes occurred in climate which ultimately results in other natural disasters and forced migration of 10 million peoples across the region. Chris Barrie, Former defense force chief Adm stated that ability of Australia to reduce and respond to the impacts of climate change is affected by the political shyness. Climate change regulations of Australia have suffered from serious lack of political leadership. Approval to Adanis new coal mine is the perfect example for that. When world is coming together for the purpose of reducing the carbon emissions to prevent global warning, at that moment governments of Australia are chasing new proposals of coal mine of Adani. Government gives approval to the proposal of Adani which would result in the open up of complete Galilee Basin for poison generated by new mines (Stop Adani, n.d.). This mine is not only the biggest coal mine in Australia, but it is equal to almost five times the area of Sydney Harbour. This is the time when there is need to take efforts for reducing carbon pollution, but this mine complete takes the efforts of Australia in the new direction (The Guardian, 2017). It must be noted that, Great Barrier Reef already experience the shocking coral bleaching from rise in sea temperatures because of the global warming. In case current trends of the climate will continue, then it is estimated that Great Barrier Reef will experience serious coral bleaching in every 2nd year. Changes occur in climate also upturn because of the land clearing for building the mine. Almost, 20,200 hectares of land which is equal to 28,000 soccer fields or 200,000 quarter-acre blocks is cleared for Adani mills. Over half of the land which is clear for this mine is mature woodland and bush land which is considered as important territory for number of animals and it also includes some threatened species such as koalas and echidnas and endangered birds (Coates, et. al, 2014). Heat waves generated from mines which cause serious health issues which result in more deaths in Australia in comparison of deaths occurred from natural disasters since 1890. Longer, hotter, and more intense heat waves in Australia are being determined by changes occurred in climate. Research stated that number of deaths in summer are increasing as compared to deaths occurred in winters which clearly states that changes occurred in climate affects the mortality rate. New mine project of Adani make this situation worse. Australia and other countries of the world already bear the consequences of polluting air and water, and we area also facing the dangers which cause because of the changes occurred in climate. We must conduct actions which ensure changes from polluting coal, oil, and gas to 100% renewable energy to stop greenhouse gas emissions which already reach to more dangerous levels. The first step in this context is the prevention of Australias biggest coal mine proposal, before it gets started. Greenhouse gas emission is not the only issue, coal mine also robs billions of liters of water and this water will be taken from the ground water systems and Queenslands inland rivers. This mine use up to 9500 million liters of groundwater which is draining into a vast coal pits and underground mines each year. Governments also take actions to make sure that Adani gets the groundwater for free, and for this purpose government also deprive farmers from their rights to file appeal against Adani for taking their groundwater (agarwal, 2017; Env law, 2015). This step of government results in permanent changes in the groundwater system and water table will also drop. In other words, Adani not only rob the local farmers but it also drain water from the rare and ancient Doongmabulla and Mellaluka springs which provide support to the native animals and plants. Coal mine of Adani also get permission to draw water from aquifers and for this purpose Adani dig deep. This water will be sprayed on the mine for getting billowing clouds of coal dust which will be generated by this project, and it will also be used for washing the coal which prepared for export. Mines of Adani create big risk for the water resources of Queensland (Department of Environment and Heritage Protection, n.d.). Shortage of fresh water results in famine, and starving people becomes the serious problem for Australia. Historical evidence suggests that under these situations there are chances of mass migration (The Guardian, 2017). After considering the above facts, it can be said that political system of Australia in context of climate change is corrupt, and it fails to fulfill its obligations. Australia also fails to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions which are combined with its investment in new coal mining projects, and these new investments threatening the long term future of the Great Barrier Reef. In 2016, almost 22% of the corals died in the reefs and these deaths occurred in the areas of northern part of the reef. Climate change is considered as biggest reason for the declining health of reef, which is increasing the ocean temperatures and acidification. World Heritage Organization pushes the nations, especially Australia to take actions to protect their coral reefs. World Heritage Convention wants that Australia take all necessary actions and use appropriate resources for the purpose of protecting its coral reefs. Clear evidences are present which reflect that climate changes endangered the coral reefs, but still Australia make new investments in the coal mines projects. Instead of fulfilling its obligation for protecting the Great Barrier Reef from the future events of coral bleaching, Australia is failing to take actions which are fair and help the government in reducing the greenhouse gas emissions. Therefore, it can be said that Australia fails to meet its obligations under the Paris Agreement (Davy, 2017). Tourism policy of Australia fails to support climate change: International journal of sustainable tourism reflects that only 21% of the tourism policies of Australia contain provisions related to the climate change, and these provisions only acknowledge the climate change as an issue. Instead of the fact that tourism is very important for the economy of Australia and its worth billions of dollars, and has been found by scientists that it also contributes in the climate change, only five tourism strategies of Australia recognize the impact of this sector on changes occurred in climate. After considering the documents related to the policy, it is found that tourism strategy of Australia mainly focuses on the adaptation strategies accompanied with mitigation. Documents further stated that certification and accreditation are also considered as adaptation measures by the tourism industry. State government of Australia is less proactive in considering the impact of tourism on climate change, and this can be understood through example, NSW fails to mention anything about the climate change in their tourism state level strategies. Experts stated that tourism sector has significant potential to improve and take action for preventing climate changes. In other words, tourism sector can develop mitigation and adaptation strategies. There are number of opportunities available to the tourism industry for the purpose of contributing in the sustainable management of climate change such as they can develop more green products and they can implement more environment friendly practices (QUT, 2017). Review of Climate change policies of Australia: In 2017, government of Australia reviewed its climate change policy for the purpose of ensuring that they are effective in achieving the target set for 2030 and obligation stated under Paris Agreement. This review was conducted by the Department of the Environment and Energy. As per this review report, government of Australia committed to addressing the climate change issues and at similar time they are taking steps to maintain the energy security and affordability and the competitiveness of our industries. The government recognizes that while reducing the emissions and for meeting the international obligations there is need to balance the economic impacts (DEE, 2017). However, reality is different from this review, as Lawyers while addressing the serious concern of UNESCO in context of coral bleaching and mortality rate related to the Great Barrier Reef caused by the changes occurred in climate stated, that Australia is not fulfilling its international obligation to protect the coral reef from the impacts of climate changes. Documents released by UNESCO show serious concern about the coral bleaching and mortality on the Great Barrier Reef caused by the Climate change (Environmental Justice Australia, 2017). As stated by the international and Australian lawyers To the UNESCOs World Heritage Committee must ask the Australia to do its fair share for the purpose of protecting the reef in the future. Recommendations: In light of the above stated facts, it is recommended to the authorities at international level to take following actions: International authorities must express their concern on serious note in context of coral bleaching and increasing mortality rate. Authorities must make call on Australia for not supporting and approving the new development projects that will directly or indirectly cause harm to the environment. Authorities must make request to the Australian government to monitors its current strategies and make necessary changes in it (SMH, 2017). Australia must review its progress in context of climate change on continuous basis and with honesty. Conclusion: This report mainly focuses on the climate change and international relations in Australia. As stated by the United Nations Framework Convention on climate change (UNFCCC), change of climate is directly or indirectly related to human practices and because of altering the international atmosphere. Australia fail to address the issues related to climate change in different areas such as greenhouse gas emissions. Experts from defense and climate department warned the Australian government that country face various disaster consequences because of the changes occurred in the climate. After considering the above facts, it can be said that political system of Australia in context of climate change is completely corrupt and this system fails to fulfill its obligations. Australia also fails to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions and instead of taking efforts Australia is investing in new coal mining projects, and these new investments threatening the long term future of the Great Barrier Reef. As stated above, Australia accept the obligations under Paris agreement but it fails to meet these obligations, and this fact is provided by different evidences such as approval of Australia government to the proposal of Adani new coal mine. In other words, instead of fulfilling its obligation for protecting the Great Barrier Reef from the future events of coral bleaching Australia is welcoming the proposals of new coal mines. Impacts of FX Rates on the International Business

Question: Write a research report on the topic "Impacts of FX Rates on the International Business". Answer: 1. Introduction (Research topic): Foreign exchange rate is one of the major components for business owners dealing with services or products offered overseas. In recent years, most of the organizations have been facing challenges for exciting business on the international platform due to the fluctuation of the foreign exchange rates. However, small and medium size enterprises do not heed to foreign exchange rates in doing business in an efficient manner (Hodrick 2014). The business globalization has experienced a robust change in the business making process. It provides huge exposure to the business organizations. Moreover, it facilitates to enhance the entire sales volume in the business. On the other hand, the business globalization has some drawbacks including the fluctuation of the FX rate (Sermpinis et al. 2013). It has a huge impact on the global business. Most multinational organizations have been trying to implement different strategies for reducing the business risk of the volatile FX rate. In this context, the researcher provides a brief methodology with theoretical perspective. The researcher develops the research questions for investigating the research topic in an efficient manner. In the methodology section, the researcher engages different tools and techniques for analyzing the research topic in a proper way. The researcher also provides the ethical checklist along with the Gantt chart consisting of estimated timeline for executing the research in a systematic manner. 2. Literature Review: Banti, Phylaktis and Sarno (2012) have discussed that the business globalization has been facing numerous challenges. However, the fluctuation of FX rates indicates a big challenge for the multinational organizations, who conducts business on the global platform. With the involvement of the business globalization, the organization could be able to enhance their business opportunity. Consequently, in recent years, most organizations have been focusing on the globalization to experience the profitable outcome of the business. Mancini, Ranaldo and Wrampelmeyer (2013) have argued that organizations face several challenges to executing the business on the global platform. The most important business risks indicate the fluctuation in FX market. On the other hand, Hodrick (2014) have stated that global companies need to expose the foreign exchange market, as organizations produce products for a specific country. Many business analysts have provided brief ideas in the process of conducting business globally diminishing the challenges like currency fluctuation. Banti, Phylaktis and Sarno (2012) have highlighted some of the important methods of reducing the currency fluctuation risks out of the business. With the involvement of new strategies for diminishing business risks including currency fluctuation, the multinational organization could avoid the potential losses. Mancini, Ranaldo and Wrampelmeyer (2013) have opined that the business must be on the top of the exchange rate. According to Hodrick (2014), international companies need to have potential knowledge on the impact of the local currencies on other currencies. Moreover, the business needs to evaluate how other currency impacts on the exports, imports, suppliers, and clients. On the other hand, Sermpinis et al. (2013) have argued that the global organizations must conduct research on the past rates. Through the accumulation of past rat es records, organizations could be able to handle the sudden change in the business. Frenkel and Johnson (2013) have stated that the timing of foreign purchase needs to be conducted properly for diminishing the currency exchange rates. Global organizations must consider the fact that the dynamic product purchasing order could facilitate companies to avoid the risk of FX fluctuation. Hodrick (2014) has discussed that floating exchange rates consist of several disadvantages including higher volatility, the tendency to worsen existing problems and utilization of inadequate resources predicting exchange rates. Among these risks, higher volatility in FX rates indicates major challenges for a global organization to conduct business effectively. On the contrary, Chaboud et al. (2014) have discussed beneficial aspects of the floating exchange rates. Floating exchange rates do not need for the international management. Moreover, the floating exchange rates do not require for recurrent central bank intervention. Mancini, Ranaldo and Wrampelmeyer (2013) have discussed that floating exchange rates do not require to intricate capital flow restrictions. Hence, it can be assessed that the FX rates play an important role in the globalization of the business. With the involvement of managing the FX rates, global companies could enhance the business opportunity, which would facil itate them to experience the profitable outcome of the business. 3. Research Questions: The researcher develops the below research questions for executing the investigation in a systematic way. What are the challenges of multinational organizations to execute business on the global platform? How does a high volatile FX rate create difficulties for the global organizations to conduct business in an efficient manner? What are the rationales of the volatility of the FX market? How do the global organizations reduce the impact of the volatile FX rates in the business? 4. Research methodologies and techniques: The researcher includes different tools and techniques for investigating the research topic in an effective way. In this context, the researcher employs the quantitative research method for executing the research process in a detailed manner (Panneerselvam 2014). The research design has three parts including explanatory, exploratory and descriptive. The exploratory research design facilitates the researcher to evaluate different facts on the previous research. Exploratory research design identifies the nature of the research topic (Pickard 2012). On the other hand, explanatory research design enlightens the rationale of the research topic. Descriptive research design is the most authenticate design, as it provides a detailed evaluation of the investigation area (Taylor, Bogdan and DeVault 2015). In this context, the researcher selects descriptive research design for evaluating factors of volatile FX rates in the global business. By involving the descriptive research design, the researcher identifies the rationale and significance of the FX rates on the global business. Figure 1: Research Design (Source: Neuman and Robson 2012) Research approach can be divided into two parts including inductive and deductive approach (Robson and McCartan 2016). In this context, the researcher chooses the inductive approach, as it facilitates the investigator evaluating the precise data on the research study. Figure 2: Research approach (Source: Neuman and Robson 2012) 5. Gantt chart: Calculation Referred to MS Excel Figure 3: Gantt chart (Source: Created by author) 6. Research process: The research process consists of different steps. In the 1st step, the investigator identifies the research area for investigating in an efficient method. In the 2nd stage, the researcher develops aim, the objective on the research topic. Moreover, the research questions will be developed at this stage based on objectives. In the third stage, the researcher provides a brief literature review on the topic through different theoretical aspects. Different theoretical views of authors would facilitate the researcher to highlight the rationale of the research topic. The investigator includes the data accumulation method in the 4th step. Data collection process facilitates the researcher to gather a huge amount of the reliable data on the topic. In the final stage, the investigator analysis the accumulated data based on several statistical tools. Figure 4: Research process (Source: Taylor, Bogdan and DeVault 2015) 7. Data collection and data analysis: Data collection technique indicates two prime processes including primary and secondary (Robson and McCartan 2016). The researcher accumulates a huge amount of valid and reliable data from the primary method. On the other hand, the secondary process suggests data collection from books, journals, and online websites. Consequently, it reduces the data validation. However, in this context, the researcher involves both primary and secondary method to execute the research. Primary data will facilitate the researcher to accumulate huge data on the research topic of impact FX rates on the business globalization, whereas the secondary data will contribute to enhancing the information in the literature review (Taylor, Bogdan and DeVault 2015). Data analysis consists of two major techniques such as a qualitative and quantitative method. In this project, the researcher selects quantitative research method for investigating the research topic (Pickard 2012). In the quantitative analysis, the researcher will be able to include the statistical analysis such as mean, median, standard deviation and mode. It will enhance the data analysis process in an effective method. Moreover, quantitative analysis facilitates the researcher to conduct the correlation and regression analysis on the topic of the impact of volatile FX rates in the global business (Panneerselvam 2014). In this context, the researcher includes the probability sampling technique to select the respondents. Random selection will facilitate the investigator to reduce the bias from the data accumulation process (Miller et al. 2012). The researcher opts for 200 experts from FX market for collecting reliable data on the research topic. The small sample size will be selected for reducing the cost of the research. The investigator will conduct an online survey for executing the quantitative analysis. Several online platforms such as FaceBook, Twitter, and Skype will be included for conducting the survey within the short timeline. Figure 5: Data analysis (Source: Neuman and Robson 2012) 8. Research outcomes: Research outcomes indicate a broad range of data and information on the particular research topic. Several analytical frameworks facilitate the researcher in identifying the rationale of the research topic. Research outcome contributes investigators to evaluate the impacts and issues of the FX rates on the global business. In this context, the research outcome provides a detailed discussion on different business risks due to the high volatility of the FX rates. References: Banti, C., Phylaktis, K. and Sarno, L., 2012. Using Artificial Intelligence in Educational Processes

Using Artificial Intelligence in Educational Processes Thoughts concerning education, entertainment and communication has been changing during many years. Approximately 30 years ago, students just listened music on their cassette players to have some rest from studying. These days, modern students prefer communicating via their messenger apps, making video calls, sharing moment photos, using their innovate smart devices. That means that we live in a world, where everything can change in a minute. There are many technologies, which contribute greatly to people`s life by facilitating it. The same is about education. There are some significant breakthroughs, which tend to improve the whole system, make it more comfortable and flexible. It is not actually a secret that all students who attend schools or collages are different, with own specific abilities, skills and preferences. No wonder that even the most expensive private educational establishments cannot provide students with personal lectures and in-depth explanation of this or that issue. The chatbots, instead, can provide all students with one-on-one lectures service, what means a personal approach to everybody. Taking this point into account, these chatbots are considered to be the most comfortable, suitable and affordable options in this situation. It is said, the most important aim of any chatbot is to follow a student through the whole curriculum. These bots are involved in communication with each student, determining their troubling subjects and topics. Then, this information is used to prepare a special learning program, which is 100% personalized and is focused on those things students fall behind. Also, chatbots should guide students and check their improvements from the very beginning till the end of the lessons. The most actual question that arises from the chatbots instruction is whether they will replace teachers at work or not? The answer is no, of course. Chatbots are not created to take somebody`s job. Just on the contrary, they will take great efforts on repetitive tasks, what will only make teachers` job more meaningful. We know that teacher`s responsibilities are all about providing them with required knowledge. In this case, chatbots will do that instead of teachers, while they will have more opportunities to keep in touch with students on some friendlier terms and develop their mentorship. It will be very beneficial for those with some learning disabilities. So, how artificial intelligence will influence education? The majority of scientists claim that the construction of chatbots will only make the learning process more efficient and productive. There also exist some other bots, simpler ones, which are used in many schools and colleges. Such programs have one or even several functionalities, which handle target problems. Here are some facts about Artificial Intelligence and chatbots and ways how they can improve the education: Essay scoring: in the future, chatbots will facilitate teachers` job greatly by scoring the overall band for the whole essay, taking into account all specifications and peculiarities.Spaced Interval Learning: this learning concept is about repeating the old material all the time for better memorizing.Feedbacks from students: these days, students` assessments are important for teachers. So, by using new technologies, students will just have to fill in the order form online with the help of chatbots. Undoubtedly, no child should be left behind. These new technologies are implemented for people`s benefit only. The smart chatbot is a useful tool, which will surely help some students to reveal and develop themselves.

Political, Social, and Economic Issues in the US between 1795 and 1840 Essay

Political, Social, and Economic Issues in the US between 1795 and 1840 - Essay Example On the political front, Rip could probably be satisfied to learn that George Washington had successfully commanded American forces into victory against attempted invasion. Besides, it could have been a big surprise for Rip to learn that America and Britain were once more working on a common interest to end slave trade after Wilberforce’s arguments gained public support. A planter in South Carolina would be more politically conscious and explain to Rip the strides made since 1795. For instance, Rip would have been informed that South Carolina was very open minded in issues dealing with human rights. He would be informed that slaves were allowed to buy their freedom before the Act that abolished slave trade came into force (White, 17). He would also learn that South Carolina as one of the first thirteen states that formed the federation, had remained committed to political development and had in fact voted for the abolition of slave trade. The British occupation of larger part o f Midwest and the burning of Washington would probably not go unmentioned too. Moreover, Rip would be surprised to tour states like Ohio, Illinois and be informed about the intense economic development in industries. He would probably learn that the economic rivalry between Ohio and Illinois in agricultural products had seen the Old North West farmers make huge efforts toward achieving of their aims. As an agriculturalist, he would also surprise Rip with Monroe’s obsession with production and the subsequent selling of Virginia. The Presidential election of 1800 had been regarded as the revolution of 1800, a transition that saw Vice President Thomas Jefferson beat the President John Adams. The elections were majorly seen as a battle for ideology in which the pro-French president lost in favor of the pro-decentralization: Jefferson. The issue of concern was probably on the political direction that the people wanted versus the direction the president wanted. This conflict of interest exposed constitutional flaws with regard to a tie in results. Aaron Burr’s and Jefferson’s candidacy had to be decided by the House of Representatives which eventually elected Jefferson. On a different front, the presidential election of 1924 also came in with challenges given that no candidate acquired the required majority of the electoral vote, prompting the House of representative to vote a presidential candidate. Ironically, the candidate who had acquired majority of Electoral College votes was not the one voted by the House of Representatives. Rationale for determining who goes into the House of Representatives became so difficult to the extent that the top three candidates with majority votes were accepted into the House of Representatives. Both cases were indicators of different vested interest in party politics in the US that is occasionally characterized by propaganda. Politics in the United States has come a long way to achieve democracy that the federation not only enjoys but also offer to the world so freely.
